I went for investment and properties seminars in Suntec City for 2 days (saturday and sunday).
I learnt a lot of things from the experts which I will share with you in these few days to come.
The first thing that I look is the progress of IDR (Iskandar Development Region) Project.
(Click on the picture to see a clearer picture)
I liased with Mr Chin Soon Ho, director of Ho Chin Soon Research Sdn Bhd.
It seems that many have fears that the IDR project will be a white elephant due to the political turmoil in Malaysia.
The seemingly slow development of the projects worried many, and many who have bought the properties seems unhappy due to difficulties to find tenants and difficulties to find buyers to sell the house even though there are claims of capital appreciation.
The team assured the audiences that since the IDR is just at the point of inception (2 years), it is unfair to make premature judgement of it.
Sentosa takes a few years to develop, so will IDR.
The competition of political parties in Malaysia is healthy because each party will try to outbid the other in performance and also there will be more transparency for all.
This will do good for foreign investors.
Many also hope for Singapore participation in the IDR, as we have the expertise, the intrisic know how to develop the area.
Overall, I feel more enlightened that I have gone for the seminars as I get to network with lawyers, directors and even LANDLORDS pertaining to the IDR area and get the first hand view from them.
I have to get going now…
P.S: Btw, wait for the launch of “the secret” on 1st April 2008. ![]()
